I might have to bail on Carlisle this year, and if I do the situation that might cause me to bail would make it easier to to go to Woodward, so there's a chance for me.

I think there are 5 or 6 active members in the area. Dan (DMZ73) lives near the north end of Woodward.
We live about an hour away in Ann Arbor. It would be great to see ya there Brad.

Brad, Woodward is definitely a freak show of HP and unbelievable cars and some good people watching.
As Andy stated, I'm in the area, north of the craziness, but south of the other end of the craziness.
If you do decide to come out, look us up.
We can also let you know what hotels are up to snuff, which locations are good, etc.

I guess I don't understand this one. You really aren't cruising, but stuck in traffic forever...   :dunno:

Hey, Mike. At least when I went, the traffic was only really bad between 12 Mile and 14 Mile, but the cruise goes from 8 Mile up to just south of Pontiac. Also, there's lots of cars NOT cruising, parked in every lot of along Woodward for the entire route. It really is incredibly impressive.

Not to mention, the cruise unofficially starts Thursday night. So driving is still fairly
normal until Saturday afternoon. But lots of cool cars to see parked as well.

Just curious as I've never been before, do all the cars park in groups? Like all the Mopars together etc...?

Some car clubs park together, but otherwise it's eight miles of parking free for all.
Manufacturer tents are set up in some areas, restaurants usually close their parking lots
to anyone that hasn't reserved a spot and alot of lawn chairs dot the sidewalks.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

It would be kind of hard to keep anything but a small group together. There are tens of thousands of cars that show up for this event.
