Sounds like a very cool car!  Would love to see the pics!  :grinyes:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

From Max wedge site.
The build Broacast sheet was paperwork that followed your car down the production line describing the options to the assembly man. It is like pedigree paperwork for a pure bred dog.

The most common places to find build sheets are:
In the seat springs of the rear seat back cushion
In the seat springs of the rear seat bottom cushion
In the seat springs of the front bucket seat backs, behind the plastic or metal seat back cover
In the seat springs of the front seat bottom cushion
Under the carpet, commonly on the driver's side in front of the front seat, but I've found them on the passenger side (common with Hamtramck cars) and under the rear compartment carpet (commonly on the driver's side with St. Louis cars and later M-body and F-body cars, though I've seen them on the passenger's side as well)
Taped to the top or the back of the glove box liner
Taped to the heater core under the dash
The most uncommon places to find them are:
Stuffed in the headliner above the driver's seat (found in a St. Louis car)
In between the gas tank and the rubber gas tank mat (Los Angeles car)

In California I heard that the cars did not always get a build sheet or they were collected at the end of the process because of some state mandate that later showed up to prevent litter or some thing like that!! In California that is definately believable.

The broadcast sheet or build sheet is a piece of paper that was used on the assembly line to build the car. It lists a number of options not found on the fender tag.  For example it contains information on the original tires, wheels, rear end, steering wheel, etc.  The document was never really intended for the owner, but often times they were stuffed into the car somewhere (under the seat covers, in the seat springs, back of the glove box, under the package tray, under the carpet, etc).  It is not uncommon to find sheet for other cars or multiple sheets in a single car. Unfortunately the LA plant had a clean car policy so it's very rare to find a sheet for one.

There is a site http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/ that is very well known for attempting to reunite cars with their broadcast sheets.  It also provides a wealth of information and is definitely worth checking out.

Here is what was left of mine from under the seat:

Thanks for the info on the Hamtrack site and the broadcast sheet. I will see if it is my car when I get back to the US.  I went ahead and registered on the Hamtrack site out of Alaska. It will be interesting if he has any additional info.

I found a picture of my old Crownvic and the Plymouth in one of the scrapbooks my wife had put together a long time ago. I'll see if I can scan them at work and add them to the link post here.

After going through the post it seems that pictures are in order. After a little research I found my Cuda is Coded Vitamin C Orange and had a longitunal stripe on the Quarter panel. The Car was Orange at one time. I can tell because it shows through under the Hood where the black has worn off. The Car was painted white as you can see in the pic but was painted Orange on the assembly line.
As to your question of my Crown Victoria. This was the first car that I repainted while I was in High School. I had a lot of help from my Father. He was a Journeyman Body man back then.  I threw in a pic of that car too. It was sold a long time ago for a good cause but not by choice. I have I included a pic of my Son's first car, the 66 Pontiac.

We still have the Cuda and the Pontiac and some 70's Chevy C-10 and C-20 Pickups. Hope you like the Pics. I took them off an old Scrapbook my Wife had put together a long time ago.

They might have I guess. I am not a Plymouth expert. from what I can tell when I took the car apart before I deployed it seemed that this was the factory hood due to the color match under the hood before it was painted black. Is there a code or number on the hood that I should compare to the vin that would validate any of the info?

N96 is the fender tag code which you don't have, so the car did not come with a Shaker hood.

I didn't read much of the post's in this thread but just a FYI if you didn't know already your car was built in the LA plant which means the chances of you finding a build sheet is very slim.
