This time last year I had the mechanicals mostly done, meaning I could drive it around my shop. But, I had some body work left to do, there was no interior, no glass and the body was still in primer. Most of my bright work was at the plater. I estimated at the time I still needed $15,000 in expenditures to complete the job. All this after 4 years of work. My target completion date was July 1st. Everyone who saw it said, which year, you'll never make July 1st this year(2011). I did make my target date and have not done anything more to the car since but drive it 1600 miles. It is about as complete as they ever are and I don't have any work planned for this year. I'm one of the fortunate few that, after a total dismantling, two years on the rotisserie, rebuilding the engine, transmission, differential, brakes, steering, all components and many wiring improvements and modifications the thing worked right the first time. I have had no issues with it. I count my blessings every time I walk past it or especially when I drive it. I found a dry day on Tuesday of this week and drove it for the first time in almost two months. Heaven can wait!!!!!
