Carlisle Club Tent
« on: March 07, 2012 - 12:35:32 PM »
As alot of you know, I have paid for and supplied the club tent for the Carlisle Mopar show for the last 6 or so years.   This year for reasons beyond my control, I will not be able to attend the show.  I am not really happy about this but there is nothing I can do about it at this time.

So what I need is for someone to take control of the tent for the club.  Total costs are just under $200 and I will send the form that is required to obtain the tent and 1 table.  If 2 members want to split the cost . . that will work as well.  It would be a bad situation if the tent did not get taken care of as it is a great place to relax and take a load off, meet other members and of course . . . have lunch with Viperboy and his lovely wife Ashley.

Anyone interested?

Yes I have info . . we need to have 25 members register in order to get a free tent.  If we get 25 this year, the tent money will be re-imbursed and next years tent will be free.  So far I think the best we have done is 18.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Seriously though guys we really need someone (or a group of folks) to step up and help with this.  I'd love to pony the money up myself, but with my wife and I providing the Saturday lunch and the homebrewed beer, I just don't have the additional finances available to cover the tent as well.

So please please please guys, let's make this happen!

I believe that we have this covered at this time.  A couple members have contacted me and offered to help out if needed.  Wish I was going . . .  :walkaway:

I've never been to the Las Vegas show, but Carlisle is the mother load if you want to look for parts. We look forward to meeting you.   :2thumbs:

I haven't been to the Vegas show for probably 8 or 10 years but it was nothing compared to Carlisle at that time.  I have heard the show is larger now and am wanting to return but it is still directed more towards the racing side of the hobby where Carlisle is mainly the show end and parts.

If you want to spend any time talking to people instead of a quick hello and hand shake, AND if you want to spend any serious time looking at parts, I'd suggest two days. I spent 6 hours or so in the c-c.c tent last year, and then about 12 hours going up and down the parts aisles. The rest was looking at cars
