I'll be up Friday morning and looking forward to it.  :woo:  Is everyone meeting on the field or before hand?

Usually we just meet up at the club tent.

A few of us try to meet up for Thursday dinner, but it's nothing official - basically whoever finds who at the hotel beforehand!

Is there a dedicated spot for the club tent on the field? Just so I have an idea when I pull in.  What time should I get there Friday morning to make sure I get a spot at or near the tent? Sorry for all the questionhs,

The tent is typically located somewhere in the ebody section.  You have a spot reserved for your car so no need to worry about getting one.  Carlisle is a great show where they put all the same style cars together so if you are driving a 70 challenger . . . You will park with the 70 challengers.  Friday is a little more relaxed as it is typically a little more busy on Saturday and sometime Carlisle staff want to make sure you are in your spot.

Well, I am going to Carlisle this year, but, not with the Challenger, because I will not be done with the restoration. I am going mainly to buy parts, but, I would like to make a stop by the tent to say hello and meet some of you guys and have some Mopar talk, so, you can tell my french accent...LOL. I plan to arrive in Carlisle by thursday night, so, I should be at the show quite early friday morning.

Most of us are arriving at the grounds by 8am to give us plenty of time to unload the cars (coolers, chairs, etc) and then get them shined up.  Some people get there at the crack of dawn!

I dunno that you actually get an assigned SPOT as much as an assigned AREA, but it's not like you'll get there and have nowhere to park.  There are attendants all over the place who will guide you to your designated area.  As far as where the tent is, no one will know until we get there.  If I have time I'll scope it out Thursday night and post it on the forums for anyone who can read them from the hotel.

All that being said, Carlisle is easy to get around and newcomers have nothing to worry about as far as finding their way around.  I actually spend a lot of time at the tent as this is basically my annual vacation (and don't forget free lunch on Saturday starting at noon!)  So feel free to stop by, take a seat, rest up a bit, and socialize!

Crap I just thought about it - without 4C there I might have to supply the toons at the tent...  :)

I plan on going Thursday, Friday and into Saturday.

I haven't decided if I am staying overnight on Thursday night, which means I did not reserve a room. If I cannot find one and I decide to stay, I may try to crash on a floor or sleep in the back of my truck in the field.  :chatting:
