I want  to know if a 6 cylinder K member will work with a 340. I have a K member from a 6 cylinder challenger and want to use it for my 340 challenger that needs one. If not what is the difference. How do I identify the difference between the 6 cylinder K member and a V-8 K member.
Thanks

The two are entirely different beasts.
The /6 has a totally different engine mount than any v8 k frame.

You will have to switch to a v8 K frame.
Should be able to find one pretty easily.

You question was answered in one of your other posts............

Six cylinder K members has different motor mount locations than V8 K members.
So, the answer would be no.
You need a V8 K member for a 318 to a 440, (minus the 426) to work with a 340.

There is one for sale in the "for sale" section now it seems to be what you need you can ask. (not sure how close or far from you it is)

OK......................

My K member is out of my Challenger at the moment, so I figured I'd take a few pics for you to clear up any confusion.

This is a V8 K member.
The red circles are where a V8 motor mounts up to it.
If your mounts on your K member are in a different place than those in the red circles, then you have a six cylinder K member and you cannot use it for a V8.

Hope this clears things up for you
If you would like any additional pics, just let me know.

These are the only two pictures I have found for my /6 K frame.  Hope they help.
I will try to get a few more pics while I work on it this evening.
