I'm thinking Stealth mode
« on: March 10, 2012 - 07:18:37 PM »
I may end up with another toy in my garage.   The price is right, but I will have to do a few changes.   I may buy it as a roller with the fuel system and electronics installed.  I have my B1 512 engine almost ready now. I will change the header design tho.

the car race ready with me in it is 2300 lbs. My engine is around 850 hp with a 2 spd glide.  I want to do some mid 8's with it.   I just wonder if it will be to much for weekend racing once in a while. But 1.17 60 ft's is a blast,  Bet my wife will be scared to let me have fun in it. I got a couple yrs left on this ole body of mine.

Morning Wade   The dart is still in the shop. Little Miss Peggy wouldn't even know where the start switch is.  She has steered it for me once or twice tho :2thumbs:

I'm going to go get a closer look at it tomorrow afternoon.  If I buy this, I'm just wondering what I have to by my wife to sucker up to her  I'm sure more than flowers.   Anybody want/need a 68 dart rust free tube chassis race car?  I dont actually need 2 cars here at my shop.   I just want something different.  I can run quick 8 with this stealth.

:grinyes:  Everyone that sees the car likes it, it's the delivery part that sucks.

I went all through the stealth yesterday afternoon, inside out , top to bottom.  I told the guy I wanted a cert car this time. He gave me a local numb for the cert guy to come and see the car again and hang a sticker on it. If this can be done, I may buy the stealth by the beging of next week.  The chassis cert guy saw it already, but the owner wasn't wanting a certification, so he says. He only ran local.

I like the idea of being 2300 lbs, car n driver race ready with my 900 ho B1 engine setting in the chassis
