Another dead 71 cuda...
« on: March 12, 2012 - 12:47:00 PM »
Just found this thought I'd post it.

This 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda sat in a field outside my hometown of Huron , Ohio for roughly 17 years before I talked the owner into selling it . Sadly it was only good as a parts car by that point .

Originally a TorRed 340 4 speed car with shaker hood it suffered a smashed quarter panel years ago , the owner who was a classmate of mine bought a factory quarter & rear taillamp panel , installed them , DA'd the whole car to bare metal then pushed it outside to do another car . It never made it back inside & died a slow death on an Ohio back forty what a shame ...

The car literally fell apart trying to pull it out of the field.

Very sad

That is so unnecessary... how many times through the months/years could he have brought the car back inside.

What a waste....
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

That sucks!

Did you purchase it for a parts car?

Where did it tear apart from when you were pulling it out?

Oh buddy wasn't me that found the car, I meant I found the picture and the info.

But if it were me I'd restore it.
