brake master cylinder
« on: March 14, 2012 - 10:26:16 PM »
hey guys got an issue with my brakes, they are manual front disk, and they are locking up, they stop the car but they release not all the way and after a few stops the peddle is very stiff. the only way I can release the brakes is to release the lines at the master cylinder. the master cylinder is fairly new maybe a year old along with the rubber brake lines and calipers

sounds like the pushrod is too long & the piston is not returning fully , do you have any adjustment ?

what if you move the brake light switch back a little so the pedal can come up a bit more

well I think the guys at napa gave me the wrong master cylinder,
the one that was orginally on the car was the type that had the bar on the cap that bolted down with one bolt as where the one I have now has the wire that you have to pry off to get to the resovour
