OK, I'm all loaded up, 257 pics.  Some blurry as I had the flash off so I didn't get a dark background.

257 pics and not ONE of the Pisano car! Sheesh!  Great pics you took!

How were the burnouts tonight?

Ok, I'm back at home, sorry didn't see  your last PM Laurie until now, yes I was still there!  Very cool story about Spinal Tap!

I got there at 3pm with my son and daughter and we walked around, got an autograph of the Disney girl their for my daughter (only 2 people in line at that point.) then raced RC cars a few times, talked with the guy I know that owns the Mad Max Interceptor...  :blah:

OK, talked to Jerry, he got your email about the Father's day car show.  Said it'll be tough.  I told him to save you a spot on his pit crew should he make ther that day.  :D  He said Father's day gets tough as they are all fathers and such and they get busy around then.  That car is mint up close!  They said it took 8 months to restore.  5,000hp can't be all that bad!

Yes, I took some pics of his car, I'll upload them after I eat my dinner!  Almost midnight now.  Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.  Getting tired...

OK, so, my wife is nice enough to pick up the kids so I can hang out at the show which ened at 7pm.  Before 7pm, everyone is starting to take down there set ups/displays, I helped one of the guys I know, then you start to hear some of the cars start up and start to line up to move out!  It was so cool seeing the cars moving around on their own power.  I almost got hit by a GTO!

At that point I ran outside and started filming the cars as they drove down the street.  So cool seeing rat rods, muscle cars and antiques driving home or to their trailers.  It was raining at that point.  PADAWAN met me there and then we got closer to the building where a guy I met who worked for the WOW said he would be and he said we could stick close to him.  Didn't see him and so we went to see if we could peek into the exhibit hall.

Last year there was a security guard there that stopped me from going into the exhibit hall so I had to watch from a far.  This time the security guard wsn't there so we walked back into the show and got to see the cars loading into their trailers and and starting up and leaving for home.  Later there were 3 security guards at the door so we were fortunate they weren't there when we walked in.

It turns out the guy I befriended was a coworker with the guy who organizes the WOW in Boston and he said we could hang out but just becareful as there are a lot of things moving around.  PADAWAN stayed until I think 8:30pm or so, I left at about 10pm.

I was getting dizzy from all the exhaust fumes in there.  Before I left I got to see a burnt orange prostock Nova start up.  I think I stood too close, my hair smells like unburnt gas!  :faint:   It was pretty cool all in all.

Oh, and to  :stirpot: a little, check out the plate on this Shelby Eleanor Mustang, not from Unique performance but from Shelby American.  Does he really mean Hemi Hunter?  Has an Aluminum 427 sideoiler engine.  Guy said the engine alone was like $80,000.  :screwy:

Hey Phil, great synopsis! thanks for talking to Jerry. Sounds like the real show is after the show is over, have to plan for that next year! There's worse cars to be run over by....

That Nova is from the Manchester area.  They bring it out to most of the local cruise nights.  One day it was parked next to me, and the teenage son was trying to fire it up for his friends.  It was flooded, and it took him about 20 minutes to get it started.  Pretty fancy car, but not my sort of thing.

Yeah, them Poncho guys!!!  :stomp:  It was a nice GTO though so if I had to be hit, that was a nice one to be hit by....

Yeah, that Nova is not my cup of tea but the paint was REALLY nice.  It looked like a full sized version of a Muscle Machines car or something.  Sounded really nice too!  :grinyes:

I was at a World of Wheels show in DC decades ago. I was there near the end of the show when everybody was tearing down and packing up, and I was looking at a 70 Challenger, Hemi, up on a tilted rotating table with mirrors so you could see that the entire suspension had been chromed. It was one of those LSD-inspired paint jobs that I don't care for but but it was well executed. As I watched they lowered it down, moved in a ramp and pushed it off the table, then started winching it up on a trailer. The owner was watching me; I suspect he was wondering if he could sell me that car (this was when I was very young and didn't get that some people love the idea of cars, and other people love cars). We had a conversation that went like this.

Him: Nice car isn't it?
Me: It's beautiful.
Him: It's fast too.
Me: Bet mine's faster.
Him: What do you have.
Me: 73 with a 318.
Him: There's no way it's faster than mine.
Me: All other factors being equal I'd agree, but you never start yours, and when yours isn't running mine will tear it up.

:smilielol:  :smilielol: NOW thats funny.way to go.
