reccomend some front shocks?

im looking to re-do a lot of my bushings here soon and noticed that my front shocks are in bad shape... im looking to replace them, and i d like to also go a little lower. not sure what the heck are in there now their so rusty but they look cheap and or really old.

looking for something that rides ok but can get aggressive as well

What are you running for t-bars? If stock, Monroe gas matics will be fine. If something 1" or bigger, then you may want to step up to a QA1. If you really want to it feel great, Bilsteins.

is that different from the sway bar? everything is stock (suspension ) right now but most of my time and effort will go into making the car handle nice.

Ok they appearnstock but I have no idea how to tell. What would be a good set of bars and shocks for best handling and comfort, with slightly more emphasis on the handling side

Given your level of knowledge, the best method would be to contact XV Motorsports and talk to them about their Level 1 system. This is a package that will bolt in to the stock locations and provide a large increase in handling capability without any sacrifices in ride comfort. The entire package is around $2200 which is a bit more than buying the individual components, but they are already tuned to work together so you won't loose any time figuring out the compatibility or end up off in teh wrogn driection spending mroe money to correct issues.  http://www.xvmotorsports.com/

While some will recommend fairly large torsion bars for ultimate handling, I'm going with .96 bars on the front of my small block 73 Barracuda.  That should be plenty stiff for better handling without being too harsh.  The bigger the bar the stiffer the ride so keep that in mind.  I'm going to try using a set of Edelbrock shocks on mine, but if they prove too stiff (as some say they will be), I will be stepping up to Bilsteins.  My car is not going to be a track car, but I'd like it to handle better than stock.

I have 1.03" dia torsion bars and I wouldn't go with anything smaller.  They are by no means too stiff (for a big block car).  I have recently purchased Edelbrock shocks.  We'll see how those work out.

Good score on the edelbrock shocks! I just found out that Edelbrock stopped making shocks. Just a heads up for any one thinking about buying the edelbrock shocks. There are a ton of places online that say they have em but no luck on actually getting them!  Edelbrock has taken them off from there page.

^This.  I had actually "purchased" them 3 times after places promised to have them... after about a week they realize they can't order them from Edelbrock or their warehouses then refund me the money.  Summit really pissed me off about this; after their factory-direct order didn't come in 2 weeks, I called and the "customer service" rep told me they "can't keep an eye on every single order placed".  I told him that it's inexcusable that I shouldn't have to call to follow up on my own order after it's been discontinued.
