Leak steering
« on: March 21, 2012 - 01:57:35 PM »
I just installed a new steering box in my 72 cuda. The pump on my motor is a GM pump so the normal hose won't work. I believe my up hose is leaking fluid most likely from the cobbed up 90 degree brass pipe extensions that we used to connect the pump to the box. Any ideas on solutions? Is there a GM to mopar fitting i could use? Or is it cheaper to swap pumps for a Saginaw?

Buy a saginaw from a junkyard and you can rebuild it for 10 bucks yourself. It is so simple to do.I saw one in a junkyard a couple weeks ago with pulley and brackets for 35 dollars.

Nice, I still have the original pump on my 340 in the garage. I guess I could just pull that one and clean it up. It ran fine before I pulled the motor.
