I'm guessing in that double car garage. Look's like alot of apartment buildings.

I am very happy for them to locate the car. I had to smirk at this though "------------ said it had been appraised at $85,000."

How about this:
Lavigne — whose criminal record includes assault, violation of probation, DWI, stalking, shoplifting and drug possession — pleaded with Judge Gregory Michael for personal recognizance bail. He said Tuesday was the last day of visitation with his daughter for a year.

“This is my last day with my daughter. I just need to be with my daughter,” he said.

THis D-bag should have thought about that before commiting a crime. I realy hate when they go into sob stories like you should turn the tables and feel bad.  :villagers:

Well to be fair, it's not entirely clear from those articles if these individuals actually stole the car.  They were charged with receiving stolen goods.  It is possible (not likely) that they had no clue that the car was stolen and thought they were making a legit purchase.  It wouldn't be the first story I've heard about someone unknowingly buying a stolen classic car.

I have been following this closely but haven't posted. Glad to hear it was found & still in one piece. Old musclecars seem to be getting stolen more & more all of the time. I would be devastated if my Challenger was ever stolen. I hope the crooks get what is owed to them.

Judjing by the criminal record and the way they beat the crap out of the car I`m betting they knew it was stolen.

BofA cooperated because of the bad publicity.  Boohoo on them.  That's all they are is bad news.  Glad I jumped from that bank last year.

And I agree, they did not treat that car like it was their own.  They knew it was stolen.  If they cannot prove it was stolen, they usually charge possession of stolen property.  Much easier to prove because they had the car.  The hard thing is they have to prove "knowledge" it was stolen.  Im sure with interviews and investigative work, it shouldn't be that hard to do.

I just found out that BoA has bought out the bank that services one of my credit cards.  Luckily I have a $0 balance, so I'll be calling and closing that card down as soon as I get the new information from BoA.  Looking forward to that phone call.  :)

Here is 1 of the guys that stole your car. This will explain the bald tires and fried transmission.

Of course it's worth 85K.  It is a challenger after all. Might be a little disappointed when/if he tries to sell it though.

glad to see the car was returned. you guys are lucky that it was done by small time morons.
to find the car less than 100 miles away is amazing. your lucky it wasn't stolen by real professionals.
it would've been in another country long ago or all over the swap meets.

That would be great to make the bank pay.Especially if they were contracted thru the bank. Its time for payback. :smokin:
