Good luck finding your car. If I can think of anyone I can tell I will.

I just found out my buddies 1973 Dodge Challenger was stolen yesterday.
I am heartbroken.

It is plum crazy with a 1971 front end.
It was taken from the Burncoat St. area of Worcester, MA yesterday.
The only details I got so far was a tow truck was seen with New Hampshire liscense plates.
PLEASE everyone keep your eyes open for it, especially you New Hampshire/New England folks.
Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated.
I don't have time now, but I will post pics when I get home from work and supply any additional details as I get them.
Thank you.

Any more details on the tow truck, color, markings, etc?

Will definitely keep an eye out for it here in NH.

Good luck

Weird idea but what about trying to post on craigslist?  :dunno:  People looking for Mopar/Challenger parts might see the ad.

Put a bunch of different keywords in the body of the ad: mopar, dodge, plymouth, challenger, barracuda, cuda, chevy, ford.

Anything as long as it attracts attention.  :2cents:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I'm not far from Worcester, MA and my Challenger was almost stolen from there a few years ago.  That car sticks out like a sore thumb, and the Mopar guys around here know pretty much who is who so that car will be impossible to resell around here.  Most likely it's moved on, or being chopped.  I already check CL almost daily for Mopar parts so I'll keep my eyes open for some of the telltale items.  I hope your friend reported it stolen so the VIN can be flagged.  If you can, post more detail pics of some of the odd stuff the car had.  The hood and scoop are dead giveaways but there may be details too, like a custom shifter etc.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

I cannot thank you all enough for the willingness to help and all the support you have shown.
I know if this was my car, I would appreciate all the help I could get, so I'm just trying to do the same, as are all of you, and for that I, (and the owner) are extremely grateful.
I have posted it on every possible Mopar/Dodge/Plymouth etc...related FB page that I could think of.

I will have the vin and more details today.
Unfortunately, the owner was not much for pictures. He's the type that just REALLY enjoys driving them, (and hard)  :burnout:  :ylsuper: and appreciating what they are.
I have some pics and a vid of his Chally that I've been trying to find, but I'm a pic addict, so I've been scanning through literally thousands and thousands of pics on my hard drives.
Here's a quick vid of the car, (not mine)

The Challenger was in a locked garage that they broke into when It got stolen.
Yes, he has been calling a lot of tow companies. Thank you.

Phil,
The first thing I did was post an ad on craigslist. I tried mass posting to all different ares, but craigslist does not allow similar ads to be published all at once, so I don't know how to post to all different areas and not just the Worcester area.
Any ideas how to get around this?
Thanks though Phil.

Once again, I deeply thank you all for the support.
and I will pass on every detail I possibly can as I get them.

Holy crap...

Did anyone post to the Mass Mopar Forum?

I can post to Craigs List, someone send me the information and pics, vin, etc.

I'll also post to the other forums I'm on as well, and a mass email to all in my address book.

Time is of the essence.

Thanks GC, I really feel for the kid too. He's f'n heartbroken.

Holy crap...

And we're sure the car wasn't legitimately towed right?

No legit tow at this point. As mentioned, it was in a locked garage.

As for massmopar, my pops was a moderator over there and he said a little while back that it was gone and when I went up to the site at that time, it wasn't there. Now I just tried and I see it's back  :clueless:

All the information and pics I have so far are in this thread.
He stopped down last night, and I'm going out for breakfast with him in a few minutes actually, so I will hopefully have some more info and the vin when I get back.
 Thank you for helping Laurie.

I'm just sick about this, what a way to start my day, not to mention how your friend feels.
If it was my car.....

Let me know what else I can do. Let's get some pics and info (posters?) ready to post at World Of Wheels next weekend too.

The fact that the father and his son are both very good, close friends of mine and the nicest people in the world makes it suck that much more.

The poster at World of Wheels is a great idea!!
I think that was all the excuse I needed to go there, so looks like I"m going.
I'll get going on photoshopping up a quick draft of a flyer when I get back from breakfast.
Much appreciated Laurie.

This sure sucks big time!  :villagers:   sure hate a thief! I've posted on every forum I can think of and am a member of , hopefully something shows up soon. Is there any shipping ports close to you? If so I'd post posters around there too. Around here it's common to find stolen vehicles in shipping containers headed overseas.
