Best of luck finding it. Hopefully it isn't at a chop shop or in a shipping container at a port or going across the ocean.

CARS, TRUCKS and heavy equipment stolen from Ontario have been seen – sometimes still with Ontario licence plates – in Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, Bosnia, Croatia, the Netherlands, China, Thailand, and across Africa and the Middle East.

Thank you everyone for the additional ideas/ links etc.....

I will do all I can with what has be put forth.

I actually got an email this morning.
It said..........

"
Sir;
It is 4-1-12, at about 10AM this morning, me and my son saw what I think was a Challenger, under a tarp (with the ass hanging out) pass us in Athol center. It was a New Hampshire car trailer. I thought I saw a glimpse of purple. He headed North on Rte. 32. By the time I turned around, I had lost him. I told the police, but it didn't seem they were going to do anything. Just by coincidence, I read your ad two days ago. I could be wrong, but thought I would pass this to you for what it's worth.
Good luck finding it, I know if I had a car like that I'd be heartbroken. "

end of email

There's a few ways to take this.
1) could be someone who knows about it, (had something to do with it) and is trying to misguide me in the wrong direction.
2) could have been a totally unrelated car that a good samaritan mistook for a Chally and could have been anything but.
3) could be the actual car and maybe the lead that points us in the right direction in getting her back.

Needless to say, I'm begging it to be #3  :hyper: :hyper:

Anyone around the Athol area, please keep you eyes peeled, just in case this turns out to be real.
Thank you all again  :worshippy

Forgot this:

4) Could be an April Fool's joke.

Albeit, cruel.  Who knows with some schmucks out there, but definately worth checking out.  :grinyes:  Is it on a trailer now?  :clueless:

Rt 32 heads toward Keene.  I'm going to contact some friends and family out that direction.  Maybe we'll take a ride out that way later this week, or weekend.

What are the odds that the cretins who stole this car are trolling Mopar sights to see if anyone is 'close'???

Sorry, I'm a woman, always suspicious....

If they're smart, but criminals are frequently stupid. That's why they're stealing what somebody else has worked to own instead of working to own it themselves.

:eek7:  The weird thing is wasn't the car in a locked garage?

I know if they really wanted it they would find a way to steal it, but I wonder how well know was this car to the public?

I would imagine only local people knowing where it is unless there was a cardomain site with the town listed, the owner posted where he lived, someone sold a part to him and got his address, was he on a local forum, etc...  :dunno:

When I was in bc my car was in a locked garage, but every time I had it open people would stop to ask about it, some friendly, some looking for a quick buck. One time when I had left the garage open I heard a car door slam and I came outside to find two guys leaning against their truck smoking, discussing how much they could get for my car. I blocked them in with the Hyundai and called the police.

You're lucky the Canadian police didn't arrest YOU for false imprisonment.

Jeff, I've posted this on a couple other sites I'm a member of (non-E-body related ones), so hopefully that'll get some of the east coast enthusiasts checking for the car, too.
I have another site I'm going to put it up at & I know there are a TON of members along the east side of the states, so it can only help, right? :dunno:

UPDATE: here are the forums I posted this at:

The lady who posted above has a good point, the thieves are probably watching all of these sites so they think they can stay 1 step ahead. By chance, have you ever posted a picture online showing your license plate ? Your car is probably in a trailer or warehouse garage or evenin the thiefs own family garage under a car cover. they have probably altered the appearance BUT THEY MUST BE STOPPED, CAUGHT, AND, AND,.............. :eek4: :eek4: :bricks1: :villagers:, I wish you the best on getting your car back soon.
