Welcome, Enzo. Did you buy this Cuda, or are you still researching? Any pics?

Yes, lots of expertise and info here.  I don't post very often because so many have more knowledge & skill, but many hours reading and learning.  Great resources here.

P.S.  If you can pix underneath, that would really help with determining the value of the Cuda.  The amount of rust underneath  will have a significant impact on the value.  Once you can get some pix of that, others here can give you much more informed advice of price.

I'm not the best person to take about values so I'll leave that to other people. I suspect this car needs a lot, though. Pic 8321 shows what looks like serious rust in the floors, which frequently also means serious rust in the trunk pans. If you can get back to get more shots, I'd shoot some closeups of the drivers floor, open up the trunk and shoot some inside the trunk, and crawl underneath to look at the frame rails.

How much work can you do yourself? Do you weld, for instance?

Didn't try welding myself but took apart 99 Infiniti Q45 front end and put together. Basically i am new to classic cars and would love to learn everything about them. I am 24 and eager to learn.

Welcome aboard.

First of all that's a cuda and not a barracuda so that's good

Kinda hard to shoot what it's worth. I can see 3 rusty areas and a good amount of surface rust, so expect surprises.  If the trunk and floors don't need replacing then 6-8k I figure.

and you will definitely need to learn how to weld and do body work, unless you rather pay someone to do it.

Did he give you a price?

Potentially on the plus side, that engine looks pretty bone stock with the original air cleaner, valve cover, etc.  That will be valuable if you want to do a stock restoration.

Does it have a fender tag (removable metal plate located on the driver's side fender under the hood) that would list a lot of the original options.  A broadcast sheet would also be great...but if it hasn't been removed already, then given the rest of the car it's probably going to be unreadable.

Well for 3500 I think it's a good deal  :grinyes:

You wont find many complete 72-74 cudas for that price and it's most likely the original motor which is a big plus.

But if you can get it cheaper more power to ya.

My opinion, it's OK, but go into it with your eyes open that you're going to spend a lot of money on parts and labor to get it where you want it. Nothing wrong with that, but a lot of guys buy a car then regret it later when they realize how much effort they have to put into it.
