    Putting the car away for the long run.

    Well after another long "discussion" with my wife over my spending habits I have decided I will not be able to get my car finished and on the road. So close and yet so far. I am going to store it for a couple of years at least and then attempt to carry on with it.

    I want to thank almost everyone on this forum for their encouragement and advice and a special thankyou to those who have donated parts. I love the hobby so this website will continue to be one of my favorites.

    And one final word of advice: If at all possible never buy a car without seeing it in person.   :pullinghair:

    Life can get in the way sometimes. Look on the bright side. You didn't have to put a "For Sale" sign on it.  ;)

    There is nothing wrong with delaying the project for a while.  Hopefully you can store it a your house and not have to pay to store it, which will make it a lot easier and cheaper.  Plus, if you do get some extra cash, it is close by.  You can always pick a small project every few months and work on that so you feel like you are still moving forward with you project.

    Sorry you have to dely your dream.........just be happy that you don't have to sell it.

    well that sucks, but better then selling it.

     It's not a big deal to park it for a while. Mine sat 10 years as the rest of the world took priority. Still have her though, which is more than I can say for my first wife.  :clapping:

    LOL, sorry to say it but my car set in storage for over 20 years waiting to come back to life. There are three x-wives that could not see it in the budget.  I am now married to my forth wife and I am driving my car again.  Not only that, but it is in the best shape it has ever been in.  God bless her.

     :iagree:  Do what you have to do, but at least you still have the Challenger.  :grinyes:  I had a to sell a car before because of "life getting in the way", but it was for the better.  Take a look at it every so often, do some small things that don't cost a lot to keep the flame going.
