    Hey guys

    Thought I'd chime in the intro area as I have revived another 70 Cuda from the grasps of rust hell. This one seems to be from the Hamtramck, Michigan plant and it looks like someone drove it through the ocean. Originally it was a Maryland car but now it's destined to be a Cali car. I luckily got the HP Cuda license customized plate from the state and it should look good. Yes it's getting an HP block and will sport a 440 with a pistol grip, 8 3/4 rear with 3.55's if I can ever find a 742 that isn't priced by a nut.  :22yikes:

    This whole journey started 24-25 years ago when I helped a good friend of mine put together a 70 Cuda with a blown 440 w/ nitros. We did everything but put paint on the car and so now I get to finish one the way I like.

    Pictures will follow in the project forum but here is one to start with.

    Definitely looks like it was driven through the ocean.
    That's alot of metal repair!

    Cudo's to you for taking on such a project!!

    Does the car retain it's fender tag?
    Are you going back to what the car originally was or do you have specific plans for the car?

    Thought mine was bad hehe but good luck and I know that you will enjoy making it new again if you need any 1970 parts let me know I have several extra

    Unfortunately the fender tag rusted way. Go figure.... :clueless:

    It was an original column shift 318 car but will become a 440 4 speed car which should be alot of fun.

    I have many pics already and have to sit down and chronicle the build in the restoration thread.

    yep, Maryland salt, we luv to pour it on the roads.   :22yikes:     are u sure its a Barra cuda..  :eek2:    looks like a Bare a cuda

    Wow, that's ambitious.  Never saw a 318 car being brought from the dead like that.  Good luck w/ya.

    Don't be afraid of 489 pumpkins.  Just get a clutch-type sure grip and replace the crush sleeve w/a solid shim spacer.
