1973 Cuda for sale with ALL PARTS $2,500

Well I found another car that I want and mine has to go to fund the purchase.

I get my work bonus in and I want to get the other car really bad. $2,500 this weekend! (the front of this car and the engine are worth this alone!)

The car is a project and needs lots of TLC. It is priced accordingly.

There are no fender tags for this car, I never had them. Some may consider this a parts car, even then, the price is very reasonable.

I bought the car from Johnny Dees out in Yoakum, TX and have been parts gathering for around a year.

What the car was originally:
1973 BS23H Cuda
Silver car with black vinyl top (reason for the rusted roof)
340/slapstick floor shift auto with console
vinyl/cloth interior
a/c car
Power steering, power brakes
Sway bars
3 speaker dash
cuda rallye hood

Car comes with the following:
Freshly Rebuilt 1967 318, (steel crank not cast iron!)complete from edelbrock intake to oil pan. This is one seriously clean engine. Has motor mount plates. Even the freeze plugs shine!
small block 727 from 1974 challenger
shift linkages and trans cross member
1972 front disk brakes (the 73 brakes were taken before I bought it)
8 3/4 rear end with 742 housing
original drive shaft
original brake booster and master cyl
very nice black center console
I swapped the doors to 1972 doors as they were in much better condition and straight
extra door handles
rough 1972 front panels
all glass besides rear glass (broke on me   ) I also have an extra passenger window
interior panel assortment with2 pair of door panels black and white. some are dry rotted, one is cracked
Straight 1973 front bumper
sublime green flat hood in excellent shape
most seatbelts
working A/C blower motor and squirrel cage
72-74 steering wheel and 4 speed column with crush can (may throw in my freshly rebuilt column / media blasted,painted, new decal for key lock)
front 1970 and  72-74 valance. Cracked 72-74 front turn signal valance
Rear true dual exhaust cuda valance (has the support brackets, was originally B5 blue)
Rear oem sway bar
1 cuda stainless exhaust tip
straight dash frame (possibly with my great condition pad and all trim)
front and rear window stainless trim in great driver shape
rear tail panel cuda trim in great driver shape ( all 3 pieces)
extra trunk lock mechanism and trunk latch
extra radiator support/front hood latch mechanism
pair of chrome sport mirrors with great glass-drivers is remote
doors have thick top chrome molding


For an extra $500 I can get the following from a local salvage yard

super straight interior door panels in black
Trunk lid with AAR spoiler (maybe reproduction I dont know)
straight 72 rear bumper
drip rail stainless trim
vinyl top trim
pair of painted sport mirrors in great shape


What the car needs;

Lots of love or to be parted out
The front half of the car is great with the exception of the upper cowl that was removed due to rust.
Front frame rails, K member, suspension, inner fenders, lower cowl are rock solid.
rear floor pans are rusted out, trunk pan is rusted out
passenger rear subframe needs replace or patch
drivers rear subframe needs a 2"x4" patch
Car was undercoated and used to be an Illinois car. believe it or not, the wheel wells are perfect under the coating.

The car is what it is and I think all the parts are worth the $2,500

Is that a pic of the dash on the front end of an Avanti? That's more cool than a rough Cuda, apparently you bought one of JohhnyDees better buys, I can't believe his prices for rotted out, stripped down parts cars, or the fact he seems to sell them for the prices he does.

Yeah, he wanted $3,000 for the car. I nearly fell out with laughter when he said that. I showed him a few hundred in cash and he sold it to me. The guy puts off a greasy vibe and I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. I almost bought more parts from him, but my first encounter left a bad vibe. One of those, sell his own mother down the river types.

The Avanti is a customers car that I am modernizing with 4 speed auto and LS1 conversion, 17" wheels and rack&pinion steering. A fun project for sure.

As far as buying a rough Cuda, I knew that I wanted a rough one for several reasons;
1. I'm somewhat of a purist at times. I couldn't bare to cut up a numbers matching car or a real 1970 BS car. Mini-tubbing, full suspension, fabricated sheetmetal AAR lip spoiler,Gen III hemi, full technological upgrades including auto headlights, push to start, remote entry and the whole 9
2. A rough 72-74 is MUCH cheaper. Most project E-bodies need quarters and floors and the sellers want $5-$6K. Why not buy a cheaper 72-74 and put 70 sheetmetal on it?
For example $6,000 1970 car with $5,000 sheetmetal ~$11,000+ invested in body alone
$700-$1,500 for a 72-74 with $5,000 sheetmetal ~$5,700-$6,500 invested in the body.
The end result is the same, you have a 1970 looking body ready for paint, but at a much lower cost. That and I don't feel bad about modding a true 1970 or 71.
3. I like rough cars because it is more of a challenge. I like it when people tell me that I will never get it going again. That's part of my fuel to succeed.
