I call BS. I'm thinking more like an Insurance claim after "New owner" couldn't afford to pay for his "Ebay car" he just bought.  Not even car thieves are stupid enough to torch a classic 1970 Cuda.

Story said he paid 14k for the car, then put 40k into resto. Doubt owner torched it.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

what kinda freak steals a car like that and torches it only a few hrs later...   :villagers:

This is more than just vandalism, IMO.  I wonder if someone didn't like the owner of the car and wanted to make him hurt real bad.  :dunno:

:iagree: I think me and Phil are thinking the same thing or possible the owner set the fire himself to collect the insurance. As Cooter stated no thief in his right mind would take a chance to steal a classic car and burn it to the ground.

My sympathy goes out to the owner.
Maybe the car self destructed because it did not want to be in the hands of thives? :angelwings:

Back in 98 my challenger got stolen.......
A few days later it was found abandoned....
the throttle wire had snapped.... the car had saved itself...

If this car was anywhere near where I liveded,..I would have consider buying it...
...I would have put it in my garden...
An all rusted 'Cuda, partly covered by plants.... IT'S ART MAN !!!

Possibly someone pissed off their investment didn't pay off and wanted to shrink the pool of Cuda's?  :banghead:

Seems kinda fishy as the theives could have easily pulled it apart and made bank.

Until the whole story comes out, there's not enough info.

So in the mean time, and in between time, keep scratching your balls and come up with some great myths and stories!

I think Aliens did it!  :roflsmiley:
