Well the bittersweet day has come.

The Cuda did fire up but had several issues to fix: fuel leak, coolant leak, oil leak. Kinda a pain but fixable.

Here is a short vid and I'll upload some more.

Kinda noisy valvetrain but sounds good otherwise.

Working on those fixes this weekend, got the oil leak fixed.

Now I have to deal with the fuel leak tomorrow then the mysterious drip at the heater box.

Well I got the:

Fuel leak fixed (PITA), oil leak fixed, heater box leak fixed.

I ran up the motor for a good half hour today to see how she ran and what kind of vacuum I'm getting. I actually got 13" of vacuum at idle and I think with a bit of tuning I can get 14 which should be good for braking. What I found very interesting is that through the entire run the radiator stayed very cool ~ 140-150 degrees, I temped the ceremic headers and got a reading of 269 degrees and then I turned my attention to the intake at 130 degrees and the float bowls of the carb at 105 which surprised me the most.

Now if I can get the seats done for the Cuda then I can rip her around my neighborhood.

Wow very tame.
Good news on leak repairs.
Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.

Wouldn't you know it, fixed all leaks at the front of the car and now I have one at the fuel pump at the rear.

Looks like one of the fittings didn't do a good job sealing, so it looks like good ole loctite 592 is on the way along with a brass fitting if that doesn't work. It's like bowling, keep setting up the pins and I'll keep knocking them down.
