Got the front markers on no problem but had an issue with the rears.

Looks like some modification is in order to get the lights to mount.

It's the little things that will give it away in the end, if you don't make sure everything is correct for the year you are building. Unless you don't care about anyone knowing it was a later model?

When I purchased the car the car did not have 70 bucket seats, it had the 72-74 style so....

It does not bother me since this car is not a numbers matching type of car, this car is pure fun.

The other *Cuda* I bought is numbers matching and will have everything put back to stock. Actually my roadlamps for it should be in any day now....

Curious on the use of '72-'74 seat pattern?

The housings had to be slightly modified to make them fit...that's all.

Fit the rear seats
Cut the carpet, move it around
Mount the Dash
Wire it up
Get the driveshaft made
Put the Bucket seats in and fire it up!!!

Heck I wish is was just wire and fire but it's getting close.

Really looking nice!

Are you going to assemble the whole dash before installation? I found that it was pretty easy to install all the gauges/wiring/duct etc on the bench and then install it all in one swell foop. The only gotchas I'd watch for is to stuff a rag into the defrost ducts so you don't have to R&R the dash (don't ask). I also had to remove my dash light dimmer switch after installation. It worked when it was originally removed ~15yr ago so I assumed it still did. The copper was all corroded and needed to be cleaned so I didn't have instrument cluster lights at all.

Other than that, it was much easier to assemble since I could get to everything easily on the bench without having to lay contorted upside down in the car.

And I went through the gauges and cleaned them up and tested them as well. It's awesome when you have plenty of 12.3V lipo batteries to test everything with, even the windshield wipers!!!  :2thumbs:

So I'm guessing that you crushed the defrost ducts, otherwise I don't understand what you meant.
