Here's one from the files of what NOT to do:
Had the windshield put in before the car got shipped out to me (several states away) and now wished I had not for several reasons. The first downer is that the guy used polypropylene and not butyl tape and I don't know if his helper was a moron but one side was almost put on correctly while his helper decided that pressing down the window was the appropriate action (NOT!) So this basically left high spots and low spots (bad install).
Anyway, long story short since the windshield was placed too low on one side the dash would not swing up into place and it kept hitting the glass. (See second pic with the gap) So the glass had to come out and since it wasn't placed in correctly cracked like hell when pulling it out.
At least now I can get the dash in correctly which is the only way I will do a Cuda from now on and will recommend that everyone here do the same. It's just not worth the hassle to try and get the dash bolts in there on such an angle with the glass installed.
