questions about the hotchkis TVS
« on: April 02, 2012 - 12:50:18 PM »
Does the Hotchkis TVS suspension upgrades involve any welding. i have painted my car and now have decided to upgrade the suspension. I know i should have done this before it was painted. Any ways. what do you guys recommend. does this Hotchkis unit just bolt on and go or is there welding required.

Thanks
Jon

I know ( as I have them on my car) the rear sway bar mount requires welding. I would guess so does the subframe connectors? :dunno:

I also have the front and rear sway bars... You only have to weld the back brackets on. I had a buddy do it for me because I don't have a welder. The rest is simple enough

Yep,  subframe connectors need welding up front and they bolt on in the back.  rear sway bars require a patch welded on the subframe.  everything else bolts on easy.

Agreed.  I thought the front swaybar required you split the K-frame and reweld it afterwards?
mmmmm.... Mopar.... *drool*

Nope. Mine went in ok. I think if you have the  skid plate then you might have to cut the welds to get the bar in there, then reweld it on. I'm thinking I read that in the Hotchkis instructions? :clueless:
