Wow what a news flash I have.

Contacted Transport connection, Intercity and then Nationwide Transport. I did not commit to any of them and said I would get back to them.

Fast forward 4 hours I get a nasty voicemail from Bill at Transport Connection saying that I was "stupid" for putting my shipment up on the board with Nationwide when I never told them or gave them money to commit to the shipment. Instead of talking with me Bill decided to take the chicken**** way out and giving me a 5 minutes voicemail complete with swear words to scare a sailor. Needless to say I am not using Bill nor would I ever recommend him. He is only a broker and takes a $300 cut just like every other broker. His attitude needs adjustment and I have half the mind to give it to him.  :swear:

Nationwide put my shipment up on the board when they still owe me a call back on Monday to even tell me if they can pull my shipment off so now they are out of the running as well.

Guess what folks I am now going with Intercity for a couple of reasons:

1) I don't have to work with an jackass broker
2) They own their own trucks
3) They have a great rating on transportreview.com
4) They move alot of classics and muslecars for big shows.

Thought I'd give everyone a heads up on using transport. Dealing with most of the transport folks makes me think of a freaking kindergarten. If there was a way to eliminate the middle man (uship stinks - they just jack the price the amt of the broker) and get shipments done on time and without taking your first born go for it. This is why I chose Intercity for my shipment.

I'll chime back in with the car shipment as it happens.

I ended up using United Car Transport as the broker and All Ways Auto Transport as the actual carrier.  My job was a little more complicated because I wanted a two day window for pick-up in CA, since I was flying out to see it get loaded.  Many of the brokers wouldn't commit to anything less than a week.  A lot really comes down to the actual driver you get.  The guy I got was very good.  Thorough and really cared about the vehicles he was transporting.  I was lucky I guess.
