the vert panel project has been talked about but again  $$ Is what it is about, We have taken over where metro left off with the grilles, door panels, coupe rears, we are in the process of working on other new parts now and we have discussed again with the mfg about the rear vert panels when they came to visit. but as of right now it is still chatter.

those would be palco

That would be correct.
What is the relationship of Accuform and Palco?

When I bought my seat interior set, they didn't know what the brand was.
They were dropped shipped and the box said Accuform from I believe, Utah.
I sent them back for a refund.

Wow, so Metro is not involved w/the grilles and door panels anymore?

Hmm...ok.  I think they did an outstanding job w/those products.  Hope it continues.

I believe it's the same manufacture, just new controling interest from Roseville Moparts. Look for the same great quality and as David mentioned...New additional products. I'm hoping for "A" pillar trim :grinyes:

Correct. Metro parts is gone. Joel went into skate boards and got out of the car part business all together, We are working with the same people on the trim panels that he used. to continue the supply of products and develope other that are in need to get done.

Dave,

I previously worked for an injection molding company and am curious what the tooling cost was quoted for the rear convertible panels? Were they quoted from a domestic tooling source or from overseas? I have been hoping like many on this thread for a breakthrough.

Thanks,

Jon

over seas is where the quote came from. I know when Metro tried overseas was about 1/2 to a 3rd of the US quote,

Dave,

Do you have black Cuda hardtop interior panels in stock? Where could one get a set of the metro quality panels?

I saw on eBay someone was advertising panels made w metro tooling. Could this be correct? I thought you owned the tooling now?

I do have black panels in Stock. When the tool is over seas nobody really owns it. Even though you pay for it. The manufacture opened it up to free market. We had exclusive for a while, But they made that decision.

I would strongly recommend EVERY HARDTOP OWNER to buy at least one set before who knows what happens?!?!

Of course I'm still holding out for 'vert rear panels.

I'm in the same boat on vert panels myself.
Found a used pair that will need a little TLC but wouldn't mind finding some metro panels.

Same exact situation for me.  I'm still hoping that the vert rear panels are made, but I'm not holding my breath.  In the meantime, I'll have to try my best to get my used originals looking as close to new as possible.
