My original 73 318 distributor is looking pretty rough. Instead of trying to restore it right now, I want to run a MP distributor instead. I have one that looks brand new. It was on a 360 I used to race and only has a couple hundred miles on it at most. I would swap out the ID plates so it looks basically stock. Is there a reason the MP distributor won't work right with the factory NOX and EGR systems? If I do run this distributor, how should I time the engine? Should I use the stock initial timing or set it to max timing like I did on my 360?
