I NEVER look at how much is invested in my rides. Don't wanna actually, cause then I'd be as depressed as you are/were.
Keep your head up and soon, just remember, Someone else will be feeling this way about YOUR RIDE when they see it.
I agree with Cooter. Don't look back at what you've spent. If we all think about how much we've spent over the years on cars, booze, gambling and other things we'll all be in major depression!!!!! Crap, my basement is loaded with all sorts of diecast, rc cars/trucks, models....if I saved all that money and put it toward my car....geeze, don't even want to think about it.... now I'm depressed...
Just kidding!
But you know what, it's a hobby and it's for your enjoyment. Keep it that way. I know it has no engine right now, but roll it out in the sun and just look at it. My car isn't running right now, justa carb issue I've been dealing with but I still love to look at it and "pat it's behind" when I walk by it. (don't tell the wife, I do this more with my car than with her!!!!
)
Even if the engine is out and has issues, is the rest of the car safe to drive? Can you temporarily put an engine in you can find cheap that's running and get it driveable?
