    heater box door

    Think i installed the defroster/floor heat door in wrong.The lever where the cable attaches swivels front to back and i think it should swing left to right.Can anyone check theirs?Also does that cable that operates this door have a 90 degree bend at one end?and if so at which end?

    "usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

    Thanks for the replys guys and Pms.looks like i have to take it out again[been a couple years].The dash was not in last time,so any tricks to make this easier?That hook in the air plenum looks like fun.

    Wow usraptr . . . That looks great!  You did that yourself?  Very cool . . I just pulled mine out today and need to replace the heater core in the morning.   Maybe next winter . . . I could try to make it look as good as yours.

    Thanks, yes I did do it myself.  Cleaned all the metal parts, motor,etc and then sprayed with paint.  Used the foam/gasket kit from Detroit Muscle ( I think that's the right name) and after reassembly sprayed the case with matte clear.

    Thanks for the help guys.Finally got around to pulling it out.Took about 1 hour to take it out,fix the door and reinstall.A lot easier than i thought
