Yea, there is a story. I am 46years old, you were close. When i was 16 years old I bought my first car, a 1970 barracuda with a 360 engine and 727 tranny for $1,100.00. I drove the car during high school for a couple years. Didn't want to do the college thing so I went to work. At some point I tore the car down and started rebuilding, since I am an admitted perfectionist, it got expensive really quick. Then I got married and had 3 kids, you should all know where the car went after that, thats right STORAGE! Over the next 20 years it sat in a storage unit and at times in makeshift shelters and tarps in the yard. When I got some extra change I put money in it such as quarters, trunk, frame rails, front fenders, interior and such. I bought a 1970 440 and some other items a little at a time. I recently sold my F-350 Ford dually for the sole purpose of finishing the car. Engine work is supposed to be done within the next couple weeks. It has really cost me alot to keep this car including deaths in the family, near foreclosurers, bills over due, raising kids and other stuff too but I have never regretted it for a minute. Thats the short version. You ask!
