Thanks for that!

I was racking my brain trying to remember a fender tag that said clone or fake on it.  That's it.

You might want to do the next several owners a favor and put the original fender tag under the new fender tag.

Sucks when the original is lost.  No matter what was done to the car.

I do believe MyMopar has some code tables.

I was thinking more along the lines of having the letters spell out words...but have them spaced like the tag codes.

I had a tag made from some guy in Colorado.  I can probably dig up contact info if you need it.  This was for the car I bought from 4speedfish (Hi Bob!).  To me, the engine compartment looked naked without one.  I used the VIN and also used the engine code for the 383 so that matched the VIN and clearly shows to someone that knows that the car is not original, since it sits with a 440.  The rest of the tag I put the options as the car sits today.  For the date code I put my birthday and the order number was my birth year.  One of the package codes also shows that it is not original, because that package wasn't available on a 383 car.  Don't remember which one.

If you had the info that would be great. I contacted one person and never heard anything back.

Yeah, I think the same. My fender tag is missing and I have no problem telling the people it's a R/T clone. Came also with a 383 and has a 440 now. Without the tag I feel free to use any option, just mounted front chin spoilers and a rimblow steering wheel... Birthday date code is cool, I'm a 70 too. But my door sticker says 09/69.

Maybe I will include something like MYR TCL ONE to let the enthusiasts know it's not real. Don't want to fake, but got this Challenger because it is one, even without the fender tag.
