Ebay has several die cast ones.

This place shows a resin kit (#35) designed to work with an AMT kit:

Diecasts are OK too, although I generally like the detail and accuracy that you can't get unless it's molded.

Or a whole car if you can get me one dirt cheap  :grinyes:  I've been fascinated by these ever since I first came across them in a magazine articles decades ago, especially when I read "Hemi slant six with a sidedraft Weber six pak."

OK, call me nuts, but it has a small resemblance to a '69 Torino.  Perhaps modding one?  That's what I had to to since they didn't have any '72 Holden Monaro 1/24 model kits around here so I took a '72 Pontiac GTO kit.  At least they were both GM but with this suggestion were crossing company lines so to say.

Same general lines, fastback, Torino slightly longer wheel base, couldmake a custon grill.  (Aren't you doing that on your real car?)

You're right about the overall shape, but I think the Torino is much bigger.

Yeah, it's bigger, but the '69 Torino is smaller I think than the '70-'71 style, I think...also the Torino, either body style, has a flush rear window, where are the Aussi Charger has like a mini '68-'70 US Charger rear window.

The taillights on the '69 are no where close though.  The 1970-1971 Torino taillights are similar though.  They would need to be heated and bent to make it look like Charger lights.

This VJ Valiant Charger has sort of a Chevelle look with the round headlights.  They aren't as small as a Vega, right?  :clueless:  They are about the size of a US A-body, yes?  :dunno:

That's my understanding. I've only seen one, and that was decades ago. Wikipedia says they were a completely Austrailian design, but I thought sure I had read that they were a-body based.

A-body based perhaps in chassis design, the body sure doesn't look like a Dart, Demon, Duster od sorts.  It is an attractive car.

Did they ever come with a V8?  Or just the Hemi slant six?

A-body chassis is what I meant, yes. Definitely no shared panels.

As I understand it, over the years they came with the slant 6, 340, and then the 360. I was looking a prices earlier, and I think the 340s are probably in the "hock you kid to get one" territory
