I didn't get a chance to watch any of the webcast but I did look up the results earlier this evening. Prices seemed all over the place as per usual at the auctions. I saw a nice looking black '64 Belvidere convertible that went for 18K that looked like a steal. A '71 GY3 Charger R/T 440 auto sold for 30K, and a real sweet looking '40 Plymouth pickup truck only brought 21K.
But I also saw a '70 AAR NOM automatic, from the underhood pictures I didn't see much of anything that looked correct, sold for $67.5K.
What I've found from attending auctions, is that it is hard to judge cars from the pictures and descriptions. Some of the cars that look nice in the brochures and website are real turds when you see them in person. And sometimes some rare cars sell for what seems cheap but later you find out the car had some skeletons in its closet, repro fender tag with options added and original color changed type things, or even a faked VIN or rebody.
