Congrats TinCuda on Car of the Month (COTM)
« on: April 15, 2012 - 07:25:49 PM »
TinCuda,

Sweet looking ride.  I love the in-violet with white.  And I love the story how you have had this since high school.  That must have been awesome to have such a cool ride back then.

Do you have some more photos of it?  Love to see some more the the interior.

Not that I'm just a bit biased----but NICE ride.  I'm kinda amazed at the simular history of our cars.  Got mine just out of high school, got parked in the garage for over twenty years, now being brought back .  Should have my stripes put on this week.

Thanks guys.

A lot of things have come and gone in my life but I have always managed to hang onto my 'Cuda.  I rented a mini storage unit for a few years while I was in school and getting my career started.   I wanted to keep it dry with solid cement floors under her.   when I was able to buy a house, the first couple only had a one car garage so my 'Cuda slept in the garage and I parked my daily driver in the driveway or the street.

There is a thread in the rest of the tech section that kind of documents my build.   It's titled "Help! My motor is locked up!".

I will take some pictures and put them up when I get home.

Here are a few pictures of the interior as requested.  I am not a photographer by any means.  I just took some shots from my cell phone in my garage.  Sorry for the bad pics.

Please never mind the steering wheel.  The one that is in my car right now is a temp.  My Rimblow wheel is being re-done by Dave at Wood Grain Wheels right now and will go in once I get it back.

I got to thinking about it and I probably should explain the roll bar.  Some buddies and I put that in when I was in High School and a big part of putting my car back together is trying to recapture a small sense of my youth.  It seemed like a good idea at the time and it really captures my way of thinking so many years ago.  I have had many people criticize my decision to leave it in but I don't care because it reminds me of my rose colored fond memories of when I was more cool than round.

Thanks for the extra pictures.  I love the white interior.  It really adds to the look of the car.

I think the roll bar just says "I mean business".  Must be tough to get in and out of the back seat though to make out.... :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

I just got my Rimblow steering wheel back from Plumbeeper and installed it this morning.  I am really happy with it.  Plumbeeper did an awesome job.  Sorry about the bad cell phone quality picture.

For those of you who may not know who Plumbeeper is, he is a site sponser.  Here is his web site...

:droolingbounce:  :woo: That looks awesome!  I love the Rim Blow steering wheel.  I worry at car shows and cruise nights that I'll come back and mine will be gone.  :22yikes: Doesn't take much to remove them.  :bricks1:
