got my 406 motor in and dont have oil pressure, removed the oil filter and it was full of oil and oil ran out of the filter adapter, the only thing i changed on the engine was the filter adapter from a straight to a 90 degree angle adapter off my 340, went and got a new filter didnt help, seems like its getting oil to the filter but not past it through the engine. the on other thing i did was move the oil pump gear so the slot would lline up with my distributor shaft when i dropped the distributor in. distributor goes in all the way so the gear drive should be in the oil pump ok. the motor was dynoed says on the paper work it had 65 psi oil pressure so could the oil filter adapter not be letting oil through somehow.
