my work truck caught on fire this morning
« on: April 20, 2012 - 01:56:17 PM »
Alternator burned up.  Used up a brand new fire extinguisher trying to put it out.  Ended up having to call the fire department.  Ironically, we had just replaced the old fire extinguisher a couple days ago.

Not sure what year it is.  The alternator, wiring harness, and a couple hoses needed replaced.  My boss had the damn thing fixed before lunch.  Was kinda hoping the fire would have been the last straw for the old beast, so I could convince my boss to replace it with a Dodge.

I here ya there,my 95 f-150 4x4 eats gas like theres no tommorow and it's just has the little FI 302.it was only getting around 8-10 mpg and was killing me for around $100.00-$140.00 a week to commute to work  :puke:

now i got my little 99 cougar back on the road after putting in a new tranny and getting 30 plus mpg.  :woohoo:
