I am a pilot and a WWII aircraft enthusiast.  From an aviation point of view,  this is absolutely outstanding news!

Those spitfires were rally sweet looking planes. But I liked the P51's and the corsairs better. I still feel that these planes should serve role in combat and should be packed full of electronics countermeasures and ground attack munitions. They gotta be a hell of a lot cheaper to run than a strike f-16 falcon. For close FOB support in certain terrains.

We do still have that.   It's called an A-10 Thunderbolt II /Warthog.

Or a Marine Corps Av8b harrier jumpjet we still got those? Under Obama it does not surprise me if we do not.  :poopoke:  A-10's are a tanks and ground troops worst nightmare.

Corsairs will always be my favourite but to be honest, in the realistic world that I live in, I would like to find a nice Cessna 337 Skymaster.
