I too wish they had some kick arse  upgrades, bit I am just glad the dealers have Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros to buy. But a CHallenger  that would kick the Boss and ZL1 would be awesone. Come on Chrysler remeber the good ol days....hemi, dana, pistol grip six pack

The only thing they have now is Hemi and pistol grip...and the Hemi is losing to the GM and Ford guys....

they have them but they are not cheap hennessey, sms, and other supercars, most stangs and camaros that could beat a challenger are superchargerd,or turbo cars thats not realy a fair race is it.i dont think so.thats like putting my car that has over 700hp up agenst a stock 6.4 i would crush it or a shelby not fair is it.it must be stock to stock no supercharger or if they have one so should you.to make it fair

Nutter Preformance cracked that issue when they have a GM computer system that hooks up to the modern Hemi.  Supposedly very tuneable.  Called Hemitronix.  It's talked about in a Mopar mag recently.

similarly, when it comes to technology, the hackers are never more than a step behind (or even ahead in some instances).
Or as my dad used to say, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

I hadn't heard of this solution.  Of course, you can also install a 2010 or earlier Chrysler PCM and use the regular tuning tools.  But either way, you are out $$$ for at least the PCM kit, plus the install if you don't want to work on the modern electronics.  Ford today is where Mopar was when Direct Connection was around.

Nutter personally rebuilt my 4-speed. I think his son did some of the machine work.

:iagree: with you all! Gotta get the weight down and put some serious HP to the ground. Take a look at Youtube for the GT500 reports and the Boss 302 - made to handle and an excellent all round package.

If I was in the market, I'd try to find a black 2009/2010 Challenger 6-speed w/a blown motor or super high miles so you can transplant a 426 or 440 blown Hemi in it and it'll come close to the price of a new ZL1 or GT500, but will be faster...I think.  800-900HP should be doable on pump gas from what I heard.

Hennessey, SMS...way too much $$$ for what you get.  $90k and you can get a new Nissan GTR that can come close to high 10s...stock.

I'd love to see more of the ACR Edition Challenger in the comparisons done by the mags.

i would think a hennessey sms or rpd, hurst, petty, numberd car would be worth alot moure then something someone just put together they are 60 - 90k and up.you can put all the cash you want into a standerd challenger and it will not get the same cash as one of thease.

I just bought a new 2013 T/A Challenger R/T in black. It's an absolutely bad @$$ looking car. The thing I like about it is that it's rare. The one I bought is the first I've ever seen on the road. The other thing I like is that it's not advertised as such. You would have to be a die-hard Mopar fan to figure out the external appearance package is the T/A. I found this one on a lot around here and pounced as I've been looking since January.

That said the car is amazing. The 5.7l Hemi has as much HP as the old 400 4-barrel (375). The power is a little like God, you know it's there and it makes you feel comfortable, it's quiet but it's there when you need it. I wound up getting the two tone leather interior, red and black and it's go the power sun/moon roof.

I'm ridiculously happy with the car, I've been waiting for something like this for 30 years. As for handling and such? Exquisite.

As far as Ford, yeah let's supercharge a 6.4l Hemi and see what kind of HP you get. Bet's it's over 590.

As far the Camaro? The place I bought from has had three traded in for Challengers.
