Another newbie from Canada
« on: April 27, 2012 - 09:15:35 PM »
What a cool website. I bought a 70 barracuda back in 2000 from the guy who bought in Aug 70. It must have been a dealer demo car, as it had 5k on the odometer. It's a 318 car, auto with buckets and console. I bought it for 600 bucks, a class 6 car if there ever was one. Unusual, as I found two broadcast sheets, one from my car, one from another car.  It has taken me 11 years to redo it, upgrading it to cuda trim. It drives good, looks pretty good. Some people ask me if it's all original, to which I reply "only the hood and roof". I'm looking forward to going to Spring fling, the Fleetwood cruise in, and New Hamburg.

Welcome, XmasCuda. Can't wait to see pics of your car, whatever shape it's in.

Barry Washington collects things like broadcast sheets and reunites them with their cars if/when the owners contact him.

I'm a little confused!

So you took a car that was close to being a survivor and modified it?
And now you want to go to shows that are hundreds if not thousands of miles apart?

Spring Fling is in Southern California.
Fleetwood Cruise is in Ontario, Canada.
New Hamburg is in New York.

Any pictures of it before you modified it?

Welcome to the site from a fellow Canuck. I'm in Cambridge, where are you at? As for the shows, I don't know where the S.Fling or Fleetwood cruise is, but the New Hamburg show is between Kitchener and Stratford. I've been a few times and last year it got so big there wasn't really enough room for all the cars which numbered somewhere around 1800-2000 I believe. I can't believe nobody has hit you with  :useless: , yet!
