If the tags aren't fake. I don't want to burst your bubble, but the whole thing sounds fishy to me.

You can't get a new build sheet. The only possibility is if one of the registries has one, and that's a long shot.
Not to mention, you need the VIN to find the right build sheet.

So did you actually buy this car already? You imply that you did, but do you have possession yet?

If it's a Cuda and not just a barracuda it might be worth it. Alot depends on condition
and if all then parts are there. Can he prove he owns the car? A bill of sale from the prior owner or something?

Barracudas were the base model
Cuda's were the performance optioned cars.
Grand Coupes were the high trim "luxury" models

Personally, if there's no Vin tag, fender tag or broadcast sheet, I would treat it as any other 70 Barra/Cuda and then evaluate it's condition and asign it a value from there.

If there was no VIN tag I wouldn't touch it, way too much risk.

If you're really interested because you really want a 70 Cuda, you can get a state-issued VIN. In this case, I would write a contingent Bill of Sale and have him get the VIN before you buy the car.

If you're really interested because of the possibility that it's a AAR, then without the VIN, fender tags or broadcast sheet, it's unlikely that you'd ever been able to prove that it was a AAR, so I'd drop it.

If it has fender tags how can i prove its a aar, they screw on and are easily replacible and if its a true aar without the vin its not worth much. I dont think he has a build sheet for it, and theres no way to get one

Now you're catching on.  :2thumbs:  If you really want to find a 'cuda, stick around. A few of these guys here are great
at seeking out some good buys. And at this point, it is still a buyers market. By the way, Welcome to the site.   :woo:
