kicked out oil pan/header clearance
« on: May 02, 2012 - 12:32:36 PM »
Has anyone had the same issue (assuming yes) with the 7 qt Miloden pans with kickouts touching the driverside header tube?  Can't even slide a piece of paper between them.

I hate to think of the increase in engine oil temp because of this. Short of denting pan and header slightly, which I don't want to do, has anyone or could a person shove a heatshield cloth between them or something.

What's the Milodon part #? What brand of header?  I'm asking as I'm building a 451 and using the road race  Milodon pan.

30941 ...  with hooker headers.  It's a small block though so the big block may not have this issue.  It's not really a clearance issue, I just figure it's probably heating up the engine oil pretty good.
