Really coming along!  :clapping:   Is that water pump pully the right size?

Well spotted Bad. I have since brought a correct water pump pully off another friend. Beats having to import one from the US.

I know this is not " correct" but I ran my belts so that if either one failed then I would  not be left on the side of the road. ( both drive the water pump)
Food for thought?

Hi guys, I have been very slack in my updates. Have made some great progress.
A friend has built me a great 2.5 " exhaust system. We finished it to the mufflers last friday. I had said to my engine builder to pencil we in for a start up on the Saturday. Wasn't looking good until I found the fan spacer and got the trans linkages sorted. Starter relay would noy work as it was not fully in park.
Got the litle jobs finished and on the trailer buy lunch time on sat and got to builders shed by 1. Turned the key at 2.10 and she was alive for the first time. :woohoo: Sounded so good. I have posted a VIDEO on youtube . Heading was 383 run in, have just changed it to MOPAR 383 RUN IN . Engine builder did a fantastic job.
Had got the glass and trim put in the previous week. Had trans flexable lines made as I had none. Radiator shop had moved the bottom outlet hose over to the drivers side.
The enginebay harness worked great. I had replaced each wire. Burder' photos were a great help.
Have finished the exhast system. Trans is working, on engine stands at least. We tried to get the brakes working but the master cylinder laeked. It is getting a full rebuild and should be ready on monday. May get first drive soon after that. :cooldancing:
Got front seats recovered. Were easier than the rear ones. Gas tank and filler tube were hard to get in.

Wow top notch job there.

I'm sure you will enjoy that one for some time to come. As I know, once you put that much effort into a car it's really hard to let it go.

I still have my first car from when I was 18...

Thanks for the great feedback fellars.  Will try the air shocks to start with. This car is definitley  a keeper. Was hoping to get it on road by xmas, going to fall short by couple of weeks.
To get it legal it has to have a very thorough inspection, they check everything. For the money they charge I want to have the car 100% ready. The guy who inspected my rust repairs seems happy to sign it off which is excellent.
Hope to get a lot done this week as businesses close up for 2 weeks over xmas.

More progress.
Got masterbrake cylinder back and installed. Bled brakes, no leaks so very happy.
Friend made an extention to my throttle bracket, works great.
Time for the first of many drives. Hope the brakes work. We are moving  :bananasmi. Have posted a short clip on youtube called Mopar Challenger 1st Drive .
Also got the trunk lid and go wing on.
Friend finished the exhaust, looks and sounds great.
