Hey all i really like  the  rear tail lights from 71 - 72  cuda     now the question is   could a person place a 1972   rear tail pan into a 1973 cuda  Will it  work without to much screwing around

The 72 pan is the same as the 73-74 pan with the exception of the key hole size.  The 70-71 rear pan is the more sought after with rectangular lights. It takes spot weld cutting, welding and painting. Depends on your skill level, but it's not an afternoon swap.

the rear panel is a relatively easy swap , it is the same size & can be welded in , 73-74 have the larger lock hole & the lock is repositioned on the round tailight cars so the lock release rod is shorter on them & the truck cover for the release rod is different as well , nothing hard to do really .

thanks guys  this site rocks  i sure hope i can come across a actual  1970 - 72 cuda  with out  changing nothing   but just  spreading my horizons  then i could also widen my search  for  the right  project  thing about me is i am not going to mickey mouse if and when i find the car its total complete  new body  being new fenders doors  trunk hood  in the long run it will prob save me money  rather then    finding bondo and 20 previous  repairs on the car being its old to begin with  lol

if i am right  the cuda or that year of  car   would prob be like my 69 Z-28  project  that i am almost done   front window rails / dash  had to be re done   trunk floors as well as  all  front seat floors  re done   splash aprons outer quarters etc as well as  rear tail pain  which appeared to have 2 " of cracked bondo in it lol  :roflsmiley:
