Saturday afternoons in Colorado Springs
« on: May 06, 2012 - 07:09:45 PM »
Does anyone from C-C.com go to the car "get together" on Saturdays at Austin Bluffs and Academy? It's between 4-6pm. I went for the first time yesterday. There were a few nice Mopars there, my Challenger was the only E Body. It was a good time.

I forgot my camera!  :swear:  I plan on going back next weekend I'll take some then. I'd like to get some folks from CC.com to show up. We could start an E body mafia there  :grinyes:

Is this every Saturday?  If so, I might have to swing by next week.

Yeah it's every Saturday 4-6pm. Local folks just show up with their cars pop the hoods and walk around and BS. There was probably 50 cars there yesterday and they come and go. Everything from Jaguars to old school Mopars and everything in between.

I will be in the Springs next Saturday.  In my 98 Trans Am.

If everything works out I will come by.  Not in a Mopar though. :(

Is this the newest location of the previous "out on Powers" saturday night show or a new one altogether? I know the Powers location has migrated to seveal locations over the past few years and had some occasional fallout with  some "antics"  within the crowd.

I've also seen a small gathering of rods and '50s era stuff at the Big Train Restaurant on north Nevada.

Big train,  I am unfamiliar with that restaurant.
Where is it at?

Been several years since I have gone to a Springs meet.

Northwest corner of Nevada and Fillmore, in front of Kmart. I noticed it Saturday around 6  that they were out.

Not sure if this is the "out on powers" get together. A guy my wife works with told me about it. It's located on the north east side of the intersection of Austin Bluffs and Academy. I'll have to check out the one on Nevada.

If you guys come by I'll be in the Yellow 70 Challenger.

Well weather is not looking great for Saturday, but if the rain holds off I'll be there. Any of you you guys still going to try and make it?

Not sure if I am gonna make it.  It is snowing here in Chaffee county.
Definitely won't be in the Trans Am or on the crotch rocket.
Will try to come by to see what's going on anyway.

I'm still going to try and make it, I'll either be in the yellow 70 Challenger or a grey 2011. If you guys make it swing by and say hi.
