Finally finished this swap this weekend.. That trans mount from Rory is a real beauty, I did have to drill a hole on the back side for my e-brake equalizer bar, other than that it is perfect. While I was at it I also installed new Hooker Super Comp headers and a total new exhaust system. I am running a 400hp Mopar crate 360 motor so had a heck of a time figuring out the torque converter required.. Finally figured out the Mopar Crate 360 is internally balanced, unlike a normal 360 that is externally balanced. Using a 2000 stall lock up converter with shift control from the governor port and a vacuum switch.. Runs super smooth on the highway and brought my rpm down to 2000 at 75mph. Over 5mpg improvement in fuel economy so far... I am using the same cable shifter and cable kick down system that I had on the 727, works good so far..
Just wanted to say Thank You for your excellent write up's. They are what gave me the courage to try this myself..
