Mopar Cold Air Intake- Worth It?
« on: May 12, 2012 - 03:18:01 PM »
I have a Challenger SXT and I'm thinking about adding the Mopar cold air intake.  The claimed benefits are a bit more horsepower and my question is is it noticeable?

I'm also wondering what this does to gas mileage, if anything.

I'd appreciate folks here sharing their experience with it.

Thanks

Yes it's worth it and you should see an increase, however it may be marginal.

You will also hear the air when your getting on it that may or may not bother you.

Like on an older car when you flipped the air cleaner lid to expose the filter or changed to an open filter design.

Enjoy  :stirpot:

Yes,,,, depending on how you drive  :burnout:

on the highway I went from 22 to 27 with my 5.7

That is a big improvement and at roughly $5/gallon it will pay for itself in a reasonable time frame.
