    Well the 383 is on the Dyno, turn the key at 5pm today for it 1st run.

    383 .060 over
    Diamond pistons
    508/510 on the cam
    Indy Heads
    RPM manifold
    MSD
    780 Holley

    Hope to post numbers Friday

    Anyone care to guess on HP

    Well, you didn't mention the cam duration or if it's solid or roller, but I'll go with 510 hp.

    I'd say it will put out about 440 or there abouts. Keep her running for a good half hour! I can't tell you how many times I've been on a breakin and everything falls apart from ignition to fuel to ...... :cooldancing:

    Are we talking at the crank or at the rear wheel?

    Well it made 435hp@5000 rpm on its 1st pull at the crank, with some adjustments we hope to get it over 450hp today.

    That's pretty close to what we figured my 383 was turning back in the 70's.  You've got better heads than I did at the time, but I was running HIGH compression with 12.5 - 1 TRW's and shaved 906 heads and six pack carbs & intake.  Car was wicked fast, no one could believe it was 'just' a 383.  Nice motor, congrats!

    Thanks, stock bottom end just the cam, heads, intake and MSD, and the 780 holley. compression is a figure about 10.5-1.

    Let me get the cam spec and the head are the 440-ez, also added PRW 1.6 rockers

    Duration 284/296, Lift .507/.510, Mopar, Big Block,
