removing gumup from tail lights

any suggestion how to get the old undercoating that is on the back of my tail lights?

Easy off oven cleaner. Lacquer thinner worked for me on the lenses but I didn't try it on the back side.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Best thing I have tried is Mineral Spirits... May take a few applications but it will not harm most surfaces.

dumb question. what are mineral spirits?

googled it.  mineral spirits, gotchya.

i like the easy off idea. ive been useing varsol but it's takeing forever.
