Steering Box Rebuilding
« on: February 10, 2005 - 09:27:59 PM »
I am not sure where this should be posted so I will post it here.  Does anyone know of a reputable place that rebuilds Mopar steering boxes?  Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly.  Thanks

April

I went to Pep Boys and bought a rebuilt unit, ask for something out of a Diplomat or other Police type car, to get the firm feel option.  Lifetime warranty, only cost $150 couple a years ago.

Almost all the steering boxes are interchangable.

This is a T/A steering box and my friend wants to keep THIS box.  He had a leak, had it fixed and ever since then it doesn't steer right.  He wants to have his actual box rebuilt by a reputable place.  Thanks for the info though Katfish.  ;D

Firm feel might rebuild them..... While were on the topic, did anyone ever take a p/s box out of a ebody with headers before with the motor still in the car?

I would have gotten back sooner but I've been locked down in the parking lot of the hudson valley mall.
serious shoot-out, wife and kids were with me at best buy, walking to car and shots fired, my buddy and his family
were or still are in dick's.   by the time i called my trooper brother inlaw's cell he was in route, tells me to stay parked
and keep my gun ready  3 gunmen 2 on loose.   2 mins later he pulls up and leads us out of lot .  thank god

oh yeah   473-9300  dave cox    I gotta go back soon.

Oh my God.  Good thing everyone is OK.  Man, where is the Hudson Valley Mall anyway?  Is that in Kingston?  Thanks for the number, I will pass it on to my friend with the Chally.

yeah kingston,  gang activity last few months fight yesterday,I always carry in kingston and poughkeepsie, license to
carry concealed, malls unsafe, galleria a nightmare. looks like we were safe in the lot but wow what a day. Before we
went to best buy we saw a 73 cuda 340 at a body shop, looked like fire in dash destroyed interior of really nice car.
at least it is getting fixed.

call dave if he can't he'll know exactly where to go. my 6 pack is done he's doing windshield and elec. then except for
body and interior it'l be done. If you go there tell him to start it for you I want your opinion.  I'm thinking put finished
drivetrain in vert. when body is done then build new motor for hard top. then I can drive hard top till vert. is ready
for power.
