LED turn signal and flasher upgrades

I have just installed the led bulbs for brake, signal and flashers. They are much brighter than the stock. Problem is the turn signals are flashing really slow. So I purchased a new led electronic flasher unit (CEC Industries - part # EF32RL), hooked it up still no speed in the flashers. Do I have to wire this up differently? It's grounded and has 12 volts running into it. Any help would be appreciated.

not sure if this is of any help but... I just did an LED upgrade to my daily driver (08 Acadia). Did all the inside lights and the license plate. It was crucial that the size of the LEDs were almost exact to the factory bulbs, I think mine are 1mm 'longer' than factory spec, I'm sure you checked the specs for your bulbs. And the voltage has to be exact too, but you knew that! So far the bulbs are working fine, bright as day, theater dimming works, etc. I used 8smd bulbs, can't offer you any more, good luck.

Your flasher should work.... Do you know that there are two units?  The flasher module that is located near the steering column is for the emergency flashers.  The other is located behind that ash tray on a tab.  This flasher is for the turn signals.  It's two flashers that your system needs.  Good luck and if it doesn't work please reply back.  Tony

The emergency flasher relay - should it be attached somehow to the column or just hang in the wires?

I used a small plastic cable tie to retain the flasher relay.  I just tied it back to the bracket that the stock unit was mounted into.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I know there are two flasher units. I hooked up the new led flasher unit to the emergency flashers, works nice and fast. I hooked up the same led flasher unit to the signal flashers and it still flashes slow.
So, I'm a little confused. I will have to check the CEC industries website, to see if there are any answers there.

I know this is an old thread, but did not see a resolution.  I just installed LED lights for brake/turn signals front and back.  I too used the CEC EF32RL flashers for both hazard and turn signals.  Hazard flasher worked just great.  As far as turn signals, I got no action, zilch.  So I got a hold of the seller of the flashers.  He said check polarity at the flasher socket.  The CEC flasher require "Battery" voltage at the "x" pin.  So I used a test light on the socket and "Batt" voltage was on the "L" pin of the flasher not "x".  So I wire up some wires and hook up the flasher by reversing the wires so Batt voltage goes to "x" pin.  Sure enough, turn signals work just fine.  So that may have been Clive's issue or anyone else.  Most definitely have to ground the pigtail wire.  Works like a charm and I like the way the lights work.  The LED lights themselves look like regular old school bulbs in the housing.
p.s. I checked polarity of the hazard socket.  "Batt" voltage is going to the correct "x" pin.
